Absolutely Sewing: Sewing/Construction Workshops Part 1

This is a four week block of technical construction workshops. Learn a range of professional techniques and processes to make clothing, accessories or home furnishings.
You will produce a range of samples based on technical demonstrations. These will include functional and decorative seam types, examples of adding and supressing fullness e.g leats and gathers.
You will also learn how to insert a zip and produce rouleau loops for buttons. The skills you learn during these sessions can enable you to create your own projects more effectively. They also provide a great foundation for other classes on offer.
Perfect for those who already have some construction skills but would like to learn more professional approaches to production methods. You will need to be able to thread and use a sewing machine and have basic skills as mentioned above in Absolute Beginners sewing intro

Held every Saturday in the Stitch-up Studios at the Island Nelson Street.
Small class sizes – maximum of 5 students.
