3rd Stage Dance Company CIC (Community Interest Company) is a not-for-profit cultural organisation for dancers. It was founded in 2008 by Polly Crockett-Robertson. Originally established to provide a platform for those with professional dance experience to re-connect with their art-form, the company has enabled many individuals to rediscover their identities as dancers. Although this remains a core concern of the company, the scope of 3rd Stage’s contribution to dance in South West England continues to grow.
The company is invested in:
- Creating opportunities for choreographers, teachers and screendance makers
- Initiating interdisciplinary collaborations across the arts
- Leading technique classes and choreographic workshops at universities, colleges, schools and through what has become one of the South West’s most extensive community class programs
- Facilitating community centered performance opportunities
