Brenda Waite is a performance practitioner, teacher and movement director based in Bristol.
With an extensive background in physical theatre and new dance techniques her interest is in the expressive potential of the body in performance. Improvisation and play are central to her practise both as a creative tool and performance mode.
Brenda has worked professionally in Europe and Australia for over 20 years, creating and performing works for theatres, festivals, galleries and public spaces.
She teaches regularly in Bristol with offerings such as The Flummery Room, a space for artistic exchange, practical research and physical performance training and Body Room Landscape, a workshop in instant composition with objects, materials and site. Her classes encourage a playful and intuitive creative process in a stimulating and supportive environment.
