September 13 6-9 pm September 14-15 10-4 pm The Island is opening its big wooden doors this September for the annual open studios! Guided tours of the building will be running throughout the weekend, allowing the public to explore the former police station’s 40 artist studios. After a period of residency, Chris Owen will be creating a durational performance alongside Sarahsson on the 20th February. Almost turning the performer into a living sculpture, Melpomene will reflect on feelings of otherness within queer identity.
